What to Expect as a Volunteer at CAMP-of-the-WOODS & Policies
Thank you very much for your willingness to serve our ministry here at CAMP-of-the-WOODS (hereafter referred to as COTW). In order to be good stewards of what God has provided, to safeguard our guests and to clarify expectations while at COTW, the following mutual agreement is set-forth.
While you are a volunteer at COTW, you can expect COTW to provide the following:
Housing: Housing provided assumes single occupant or couple. If housing is needed for children please state so on the Information Form.
3 meals a day – served at the Hill Dining Hall during staff meal times.
Uniform allotment will vary upon position served.
COTW will not provide:
Any transportation to/from your lodging/dining hall/work place or elsewhere.
("Guest Services" is only available to paying guests.)
Any maid or laundry services for your personal rooms and/or clothing. Any medical, dental and/or any other type of insurance.
COTW expects the following:
Clean and groomed appearances including provided COTW uniform shirts.
On-time arrival at defined work scope areas and remaining until work is complete with a minimum of 40 hours per a week of work, and/or eight hours per day.
Hours worked in certain areas are not necessarily consecutive, and shift start times can be early morning or late in the evening.
A willingness to serve when and where COTW has greatest need. Please note that this will often be during chapel times.
